We will head toward the Hassan II Mosque for a quick visit, then drive to Rabat, the capital of Morocco. Here, we will explore the city’s rich history and architectural wonders, including the Hassan Tower and the beautiful Kasbah of the Udayas.

After that, we will drive towards Meknes, the Ismaili Capital, and one of the imperial cities in Morocco. In which we visit Bab Al Mansour, Sahrij Souani Basin, and Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Thereafter, we drive around 30 km to visit the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis.

It is well preserved, as it is recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Here, you will see the most important archaeological site and attractive mosaic in Morocco, dating back to the 3rd century. Then we head to Fes. Overnight stay in a Hotel/Riad.

After a Moroccan breakfast in your Riad/Hotel, your local guide will meet you to explore Fes, the oldest City of Morocco.

You will begin at the famous gate of the Royal Palace. After that, you will have the opportunity to walk through the Jewish quarter, ‘the Mellah’, and then visit most of the sites of cultural and historical interest, including the famous Al Karaouine Mosque and University (the oldest in the world), and the Madrassa Bouanania. Then head to the Tanneries and the Najjarine fountain.

After lunch in a local restaurant, you will drive outside the Medina to enjoy a panoramic view of the Medina and the city of Fes. In the afternoon, you will drive back to your Riad.

On the 3rd day of our 5-day Morocco itinerary, we drive south towards the Merzouga desert through the Middle Atlas and the cedar woods of Azrou.

The first stop will be in Moroccan Switzerland, Ifrane, a charming ski resort. This small city is famous for its snow and the alpine-style architecture of the houses. After that, we continue towards the largest cedar forest to get the chance to see the Barbary macaques, take pictures, and feel free to feed them.

Later, we continue to Midelt and Rich, where we will have free time for lunch. Then we continue our journey to Merzouga through the Tizi-n-Talghamt pass, and along the spectacular Ziz Valley with stops for panoramic views.

In the afternoon, we will reach the Merzouga desert, where you will switch to camels and cross the Erg Chebbi dunes. During the trek, we will stop to enjoy the Sunset from a high dune and do Sandboarding (Optional).

Finally, you will continue to the desert camp to enjoy Berber drum music around the campfire; you will even have the opportunity to learn how to play the drums yourself and enjoy the starry sky. Finally, dinner and overnight in the camp.

Today, waking up early is highly recommended to enjoy an amazing Sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Free time for breakfast in the camp, then you return to Merzouga, where your driver awaits (You can choose to ride a camel or join a 4×4).

Then we leave the Merzouga Sahara towards Dades Gorges via Rissani town, the ancient capital of Tafilalet. Here, we will visit the traditional market (the market days are: Tuesday, Thursday, or Sunday).

After a stroll in Rissani souk (market), we continue to Erfoud and Tinejdad palm groves, to reach the Todra River where you can admire the picturesque views.
As we continue towards Dades Gorge, through Boumalne Dades. We will stop at the incredible rock formations resembling ‘Monkey fingers’.

Enjoy the scenic drive along the Dades Valley before reaching your Riad for the night. Dinner and overnight are included.

On the final day of our 5-day Morocco itinerary, we will drive to Ouarzazate via Kalaa M’gouna to visit the Rose Valley (where a Rose festival is held annually in May).

We then continue through the road of thousands of kasbahs, passing by Skoura palm grove until we arrive at Ouarzazate, named the Hollywood of Africa, after a visit to Kasbah Taourirt and the Atlas studio (Optional).

Once we have explored Ouarzazate, we will head to Ait Ben Haddou. Here, you will have the opportunity to visit this famous Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where many films/TV series have been shot, such as The Kingdom of Heaven, Babel, Gladiator, Game of Thrones… etc.

We continue crossing the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi-n Tichka Pass and many Berber villages nearby. Finally, in the late afternoon, we will reach Marrakech and drop you off at your accommodation or airport. End of the Morocco 5-day itinerary.
