Afterward, we leave Casablanca and head to Rabat, Morocco’s capital. Here, you’ll visit the famous Hassan Tower and wander through the charming, blue-and-white streets of the Kasbah of the Udayas.

The day concludes as we arrive at your accommodation, ensuring you unwind and recharge for the exciting adventure that lies ahead.
Please note that for late-night arrivals, we provide a serene night at your Casablanca hotel before the tour kicks off.

Driving distance: Approximately 130 km
Driving time: Approximately 2hr 15 min

On your second day, we’ll drive toward the beautiful coastal city of Tangier.
Along the way, we’ll stop in Asilah, a gorgeous seaside town filled with colorful art and lovely Spanish-Moroccan vibes. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxing stroll by the water!

Once we arrive in Tangier, you’ll check into your cozy hotel or riad and get settled. Then, we’ll head out to explore! You’ll get to see Cape Spartel (where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean Sea) and the famous, legendary Caves of Hercules.

Driving distance: Approximately 260 km
Driving time: Approximately 3 hr

Indulge in a delightful breakfast at your hotel/riad in Tangier as we journey to Chefchaouen, also known as the Blue Pearl, a picturesque town nestled in the Rif Mountains of northern Morocco.
The scenic drive from Tangier to Chefchaouen unfolds over approximately two hours, treating you to panoramic vistas of rolling hills and quaint villages.

Upon arrival in Chefchaouen, settle into your Riad before spending time walking through the blue-washed streets, where every corner feels calm and photogenic.

Driving distance: Approximately 115 km
Driving time: Approximately 2 hr 30 min

Wake up in the quiet setting of Chefchaouen and spend the day exploring at your own pace. The medina is filled with small artisan shops, colorful doors, and views of the surrounding mountains.
You’ll also have time for local cafés, small markets, and slow walks through the narrow streets painted in soft shades of blue.

After that, you can stop at Ras El Ma spring, where fresh water runs through town, then hike up to the Spanish Mosque in the afternoon for a panoramic view of the blue city above, especially during a magical sunset.

After breakfast, leave Chefchaouen and travel through the Rif Mountains toward Volubilis, a fascinating UNESCO World Heritage site. It is home to Morocco’s best-preserved Roman ruins and offers a wonderful, historic escape.

You’ll love wandering the massive grounds, exploring ancient temples, grand merchant homes (where you can still see the old underfloor heating systems!), and beautiful, colorful mosaics still lying right where they were created centuries ago.

Next, if you’d like, we can make a stop in Meknes along the way. It’s a wonderful, more relaxed city that is the perfect warm-up for Fes. The historic medina is smaller, quieter, and the shopkeepers are super laid-back. The two best places to explore here are the historic Imperial City and the old medina.

By afternoon, you’ll reach Fes and check in to your hotel/riad inside the old medina. The evening is free, so you can rest or take a short walk through nearby lanes filled with the smell of spices and old stone walls.

Driving distance: Approximately 260 km
Driving time: Approximately 4 hr 30 min

After a tasty breakfast, our professional local guide will pick you up from your accommodation and spend the day in Fes el-Bali, the old medina and one of the oldest living cities in the world.

The first destination will be the Royal Palace gates, then the Jewish quarter, known as ‘the Mellah’, where the history of Fes’s Jewish community unfolds.
Next, you will visit a local workshop where skilled makers produce pottery, metalwork, and textiles.

After that, you will discover the Bou Inania Madrasa and Al Quaraouiyine University, which is known as the oldest continuously operating university, and stop at the Chouara Tannery, where leather is still dyed by hand using traditional methods.
After the tour, return to your riad and enjoy a quiet evening in the heart of the city.

After a delightful breakfast at your riad in Fes, we leave the city and travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains towards the Merzouga desert. First stop will be in Ifrane, often called “Little Switzerland” because of its clean streets and alpine-style buildings. Then continue to the cedar forest near Azrou, where Barbary macaques live in the open.

Following a lunch break at a local restaurant in Midelt ot Rich town, our route takes us through the picturesque Ziz Valley, renowned for its oasis adorned with palm trees.
In the late afternoon, you will reach the golden dunes of Merzouga in the Sahara. Check in to your desert lodge and get ready for the days ahead.

Driving distance: Approximately 500 km
Driving time: Approximately 7 hr 30 min

Today, we dedicate the 8th day of your Morocco itinerary 14 days to exploring the region of Merzouga. The area has so many incredible sites, from dunes, a wild lake, mines, fossil areas, to fabulous oases.

These are ideal places for so many outdoor activities. Firstly, we start our journey in Merzouga by driving off-road to visit an ancient eyeliner mine. Then we visit the nomads in their handmade woven tent to learn how they live while drinking Berber tea.

Our next destination is the Khamlia village, where you will enjoy the Gnaoua music and dancing performances. Its inhabitants originate from sub-Saharan countries like Mali, Sudan, and Niger. Free time for lunch in a restaurant.

After that, we take a stroll in a palm tree grove in Hassi Labied village. Finally, we return to Merzouga, where you switch to camels and cross the sandy desert. You will make a stop on top of a high dune to enjoy a magical sunset and do sandboarding.

Finally, you continue to the desert camp where you can enjoy Berber drum music while dancing around the campfire, under the vast open sky of stars. Dinner and overnight in the camp.

Commence your day with an early wake-up to enjoy a beautiful sunrise from a high dune close to the camp. Free time for breakfast, then you return on camels or a 4×4 car to Merzouga, where the driver awaits.

We leave the desert to visit Rissani town, the ancient capital of Tafilalet. Rissani is still a major trading center in the region, with a large souk lively on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. After a stroll in Rissani souk, we continue to Erfoud, where we visit one of the workshops of fossilized marble (optional). Then we drive through Touroug and Tinjdad palm groves to reach the Todra Gorges.

The course of the Todra River has carved out a grand and high red cliff-sided canyon through the mountains. These gorges are an ideal place for rock climbers. Feel free to wander in the gorges and appreciate the beauty of the landscape.

Free time for lunch in a restaurant. Then we continue to the Dades Valley, through Boumalne Dades. Inevitable stops at the “monkey fingers” rock formation, and also at a spot atop a mountain overlooking the Dades Valley. Finally, dinner and overnight in a hotel.

Driving distance: Approximately 310 km
Driving time: Approximately 5 hr 30 min

After a delicious breakfast in your riad, we continue our Morocco itinerary 14 days to Marrakech via Kalaa Magouna to visit the Rose Valley. A Rose Festival is held annually in May. The locals offer their rose products, from perfumes, rose water, and oil to cosmetic products.

Afterward, we drive through the palm groves of Skoura before we reach Ouarzazate, where we visit the studios in which famous movies were shot (optional).

We depart to visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Furthermore, the Kasbah has appeared in many movies, including Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy, etc. It has also appeared in TV series including Game of Thrones.

After lunch, we continue to Marrakech by driving through the stunning Tizi-N-Tichka Pass and the High Atlas Mountains. Stops will be made to take pictures at interesting spots.
Overnight stay in a Riad in Marrakech.

Driving distance: Approximately 350 km
Driving time: Approximately 6 hr 30 min

After a delightful breakfast in your accommodation, we will be exploring the Highlights of Marrakesh with a professional local guide. The city is considered one of the four imperial cities in Morocco. The visit includes: the Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, the Ben Youssef Quranic mosque, and a stroll in the largest traditional souk in Morocco.

Free time for lunch near the Jemaa El-Fna square. Later on, you visit the Koutoubia mosque, the largest in Marrakesh, and the Majorelle garden. Finally, transfer to your accommodation. Feel free to wander in Jemaa El-Fna on your own.

Today, we drive west from Marrakech to Essaouira city. On the way, we will make stops to see the Argan trees and goats (if available), then we also head for a panoramic view to see all of Essaouira city.

We reach Essaouira city, formerly Mogador, one of the important coastal cities in Morocco. Here, you can visit the fishing port, the ancient ramparts with cannons, and also the old Medina, walk along the old sea walls, enjoy fresh seafood, and watch the boats in the harbor.
Overnight stay in Essaouira.

Driving distance: Approximately 180 km
Driving time: Approximately 3 hr 30 min

After a relaxed breakfast, we’ll start our journey from the lovely beach town of Essaouira back to Casablanca.

Before we hit the road, feel free to enjoy your last morning soaking up the sun on the beach or wandering through the colorful streets of the historic medina. It’s a great time to explore the lively markets and pick up a few unique, handmade souvenirs!

The drive to Casablanca takes about four and a half hours. Along the way, you’ll get to sit back and watch Morocco’s beautiful, changing landscapes roll by.
