Your driver/ guide will pick you up from your accommodation to start our best 5 days desert tour from Tangier.

Next, we will drive through the stunning Rif Mountains, passing by Tetouan, and continue to the enchanting town of Chefchaouen. Upon arrival, you will check into your comfortable accommodation and have the opportunity to explore the city and its iconic blue and white painted streets.

You can take a leisurely walk through the narrow streets, visit the old Medina, Ras el Ma, and unwind at one of the cozy restaurants offering authentic Moroccan cuisine.

In the afternoon, we will drive directly to Fes while enjoying wonderful views of the Rif Mountains. Overnight stay at a decorated Riad.

In the morning after breakfast, we will continue our journey towards the Merzouga Desert via the Middle Atlas Mountains, enjoying a scenic drive through traditional Berber villages.

Our first stop will be the city of Ifrane, often known as “Moroccan Switzerland.” From there, we continue to Azrou to explore its famous cedar forest, where you can observe Barbary macaques in their natural habitat. Next, we will head to the town of Midelt for a lunch break.

Afterward, we drive south toward the beautiful Ziz Valley, renowned for its lush palm oases, stopping to admire panoramic views of the landscape.

In the late afternoon, we will arrive at the Merzouga Desert and set off on a camel trek to a traditional Berber camp nestled in the Erg Chebbi dunes—the highest dunes in North Africa. The trek takes approximately 1.5 hours.

After dinner at the camp, you will enjoy the rhythm of traditional Berber drums around a campfire under the starry sky.

Today, we highly recommend you wake up early to enjoy the Sunrise over a high dune near the camp. After a tasty breakfast, we will start our Merzouga 4×4 excursion to explore different and interesting sites around the Erg Chebbi dunes.

We will visit Hassi Labied Oasis to see its irrigation canal and land agriculture, then continue to Khamlia village to listen to the Gnawa music of the dark-skinned people who were brought to Morocco as immigrants over a hundred years ago.

Afterward, we will journey to M’ifis mines, famous for minerals and fossils. Then get the opportunity to visit a Nomadic Berber family who is still living in their tent; we will have a glass of mint tea with them and learn about their lifestyle…

After lunch at a local restaurant, we will drive back to the village. Overnight at a local Riad.

After enjoying a delightful breakfast, we will drive towards the stunning Dades Valley through Rissani to visit its weekly market if it’s one of the market days (Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday), then pass through small Berber villages such as Jorf, Touroug, Tinejdad, and the big town of Tinghir, where we will stop to admire its beautiful Todra River full of palm trees and vegetation.

Afterward, we continue towards Todra Canyon, located at the feet of the High Atlas Mountains, which offers breathtaking views and is a famous place for rock climbers, free time to walk through its high canyons, and a break for lunch.

In the afternoon, we will drive to Dades Valley through Boumalne Dades, and prepare to be spellbound by the extraordinary rock formations known as ‘Monkey Fingers’.

End our day by spending the night in a charming Riad/Hotel at the top of the mountain.

On the final day of our 5-day tour from Tangier to Marrakech, our journey continues toward Marrakech via the Rose Valley and the Skoura palm grove. Upon arrival in Ouarzazate, we will visit Kasbah Taourirt and optional film studios.

Next, we travel to the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featured in iconic films like The Mummy and Prince of Persia. Here, you can admire the site’s striking architecture and intricate decorations before enjoying free time for lunch.

Afterward, we cross the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n’Tichka, the highest mountain pass in Morocco at 2,260 meters above sea level, offering panoramic views of lush valleys, towering peaks, and traditional Berber villages.

We arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon, where we will transfer you to your accommodation, marking the end of your 5-day tour from Tangier.
