Our private 4-day tour from Tangier to Marrakech via Merzouga starts with hotel/riad or airport pickup. On the first day, we drove straight toward Chefchaouen, ‘The Blue Pearl of Morocco’, through the Rif Mountains.

You will have free time to explore Chefchaouen, walking through its narrow streets, which gives you the chance to take some beautiful pictures, visit its old Medina, and Ras el Ma, head of the water; this is the point at which the fresh mountain waterfall seeps its way into the town.
The lunch will be held at a local restaurant in the famous Plaza Uta Hammam square.

In the afternoon, once your visit ends, we will head directly to Fes while enjoying the wonderful landscapes of the north. Arrival in Fes in the late afternoon, overnight stay at Riad/Hotel.

Today, after a delicious breakfast in your riad, we will travel to the Merzouga Desert via the Middle Atlas Mountains. We will enjoy a nice drive through several Berber villages.

The first stop is the city of Ifrane, commonly known as ‘Morocco’s Little Switzerland’. Continue to the famous cedar forest of Azrou, where we can see the monkeys. After that, we continue to the town of Midelt through the Middle Atlas Mountains for a free lunchtime.

After lunch, we will head south to the beautiful Ziz Valley for a stop to admire a panoramic view of the oasis, then to Erfoud, known for fossils and yearly festival dates.

In the afternoon, we will reach the Merzouga desert. Here, you will switch to the camels to reach our Berber desert camp. The camel ride takes around 1:30 h with a break on top of the dunes to watch an amazing Sunset, try sandboarding if that’s an activity you’re interested in, take many photos, and enjoy the views…

After these beautiful moments, you will continue to the camp. After enjoying dinner, you will listen to the traditional Berber drumming music and spend the night under a starry sky.

Today, our Tangier desert tour begins with an early wake-up to catch the sunrise over the high dunes near your camp. After a delicious breakfast, you can choose to ride a camel or take a 4×4 transfer back to Merzouga.

From there, your driver/guide will take you toward the Dades Valley via Rissani. If it happens to be a market day (Tuesday, Thursday, or Sunday), you will visit the traditional weekly market. You will then drive through charming Berber villages, including Touroug and Tinejdad, before arriving in Tinghir to admire the lush, palm-filled Todra Valley.

The journey continues into the heart of the Todra Gorge, a world-famous spot for rock climbers, where you will have time to walk through its towering canyons. After lunch, head toward the Dades Valley to marvel at the unique rock formations known as the “Monkey Fingers.” Your day ends with dinner and an overnight stay at a local hotel or riad.

After a tasty breakfast at your Riad, our journey continues to Ouarzazate via Rose Valley and Skoura palm grove. We visit the Kasbah Taourirt and film studios (Optional).

Then we will drive to the famous and oldest Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou (declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986). Famous films have been shot in this spectacular place, including The Jewel of the Nile, Obelix, Gladiator, Game of Thrones… Free time to have lunch.

We continue our Tangier to Marrakech trip, crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the highest road pass in Morocco, Tizi N’Tichka, at 2260 meters above sea level, which offers impressive views of Valleys and many Berber villages nearby.

By the late afternoon, we will reach Marrakech and drop you off at your accommodation, marking the end of your 4-day tour from Tangier to Marrakech.
