7 days itinerary to Morocco

Day 1: Arrival to Fes - Transfert to the Riad/Hotel

Your driver/guide will meet you at the airport at your specified time and transport you to your accommodation. Overnight in a Riad/Hotel.

Day 2: Fes Sightseeing

After having a Moroccan breakfast at your accommodation, we began our 7-day Morocco itinerary from Fes in the new part of the city, where we approached the royal palace gate and the Jewish cemetery (Mellah).

Then we will go to a viewpoint where we can see the whole medina from the south tower and the new mosques. Then, on foot, we will navigate the old Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We will visit all sites of cultural and historical interest, including the famous Al-Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region and possibly the world, the old Tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Moulay Idriss mausoleum. Overnight in a Riad.

Day 3: Fes – Merzouga – Camel ride in Erg Chebbi dunes

On the third day of our tour, we will drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains as we visit the incredible town of Ifrane, also known as ‘Little Switzerland’. We will then continue to the large cedar forest in Azrou for a walk in the green woods and to see the playful little monkeys.

After that, we will drive through the Tizi N’Talghamt Pass to Midelt, continuing along the magnificent Ziz Gorges and the surrounding Middle Atlas. We’ll then head towards Errachidia, stopping for lunch along the way.

After lunch, we continue to Erfoud, famous for its date festival and fossils. Once we reach the Merzouga desert, you will switch to camels to cross the Erg Chebbi dunes. After that, a stop will be made for you on top of a high dune to enjoy the calm Sunset and do sandboarding, then continue to the desert camp.

You will enjoy the Berber music (drums) while dancing around the campfire under a starry sky. Dinner and overnight in the camp.

Day 4: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

We will wake up early in the morning to witness the best sunrise of your life and cast different colors over the sea of dunes before returning to our desert riad.

After breakfast, we will continue to Tinghir via Rissani. If it’s market day (Thursday, Tuesday, or Sunday), you will have the opportunity to discover the vibrant tapestry of a traditional Moroccan Market.

Upon reaching Todra Gorges, the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco, you can take some free time to walk and relax on the edge of the river before we drive through the Dades Valley, where we check into a lovely riad in the mountains. Enjoy a delicious dinner and comfortable rest.

Day 5: Dades Valley – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Marrakech

The breakfast is a sign of departure. We leave the Dades Valley towards Kalaat Mgouna, the valley of Roses, where the whole city is perfectly covered with pink roses.

We will also pass by Ouarzazate and Ait Benhaddou, the largest Kasbah, where we will introduce you to the magnificent international Film Studios where some famous movies were filmed, such as Game of Thrones, “Lawrence of Arabia”, “Gladiator”, and “The Mummy”.

After lunch in Ait Ben Haddou village, we will continue our Morocco 7-day itinerary via the Sahara Desert through the majestic Tizi N-Tichka pass. As we drive over the High Atlas Mountains, we will make stops to enjoy the views and learn about the Berber villages.

Arriving in Marrakech in the afternoon, and dropping you off at your accommodation.

Day 6: Marrakech Sightseeing

We will start exploring Marrakech, “the Red City of Morocco”. We will guide you through the most important sites of historical and cultural interest, including the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, and many other ancient sites that hold the fascinating stories of their past.

After a memorable city tour, transfer to your accommodation, and feel free to wander in Jamaa El-Fna square on your own.
